CHILDREN OF LIR & MOVIE MAGIC

This unique double bill presented by the students of Corrib Dance Academy begins with the well-known Irish legend ‘The Children of Lir’. One of Ireland’s oldest tales, retold through classical ballet, is performed to a score of orchestrated Irish and Classical music. A highlight of Act 1 is the scene from ‘Swan Lake’, adapted for our CDA senior students from original choreography. 

Inspired by a medley of popular films, Act 2 features scenes from Trolls and Mary Poppins, the Greatest Showman and La La Land, plus many more. Modern Theatre and Jazz Dance styles are featured in this entertaining and fast-moving tribute to the silver screen.
