This unique double bill presented by the students of Corrib Dance Academy began with the well known Irish legend 'The Children of Lir'. One of Ireland's oldest tales, retold through classical ballet, was performed to a combination of orchestrated Irish and Classical music. One of the highlights was the excerpt from Act 2 'Swan Lake', which is one of the most ambitious projects ever undertaken by the Academy, and clearly demonstratds the high standard of ballet now being achieved in the school.
A medley of popular films, both old and new, provided the theme for the second half. Modern Theatre, Tap and Jazz Dance styles were featured in this entertaining and fast-moving tribute to the silver screen.
